The games included in the April box that Cubed3 received were - as always - listed on the site when the theme of "Hunt" was announced. Monster Hunter World, Dark Souls III, Batman: Arkham City, and Far Cry 5 were all included.
Monster Hunter World was represented by an exclusive replica collectible. The Jawblade Sword is lovingly recreated here, although in a much smaller scale. Perfect for hunting voles in the wild, perhaps? Their corpses can then be used to fashion equipment and armour for hamsters, budgies, or any other such small pets.
Dark Souls III gets the T-shirt spot this month. Loot Gaming regularly relegates one of the titles to a T-shirt and they are always of high quality, although the designs are often hit or miss. April's was decent enough, adapting the Dark Souls III cover art directly onto a tee.
Batman: Arkham City seemed a bit out of place considering the relatively new other titles, and its addition felt quite out of place here. It's a reprint of the first issue of the five-issue mini-series from 2011. It's got an exclusive cover and the mini-series is an underrated story, but a single issue is rather lacklustre. Considering the age and popularity level, it would have been nice to see the collection here.
Finally, Far Cry 5 was on-hand with… a bag. Perfect to fill with Vietnam Lighters or Cheeseburger bobbleheads. It's a really random addition and was basically just a bag that says "Far Cry 5" instead of being something recognisable from the game.
Finally, there was a paper Far Cry 5 poster and the obligatory collectible diecast pin, which looked like a bloody bear trap.
All in all, the April box's only real gem was the Jawblade Sword, so hopefully the next one Cubed3 gets to try will be better.
