Project Giant Robot is Still a Concept

Whatever happened to Project Giant Robot? The game remains a concept for now, according to Miyamoto.

The House of Mario is constantly experimenting, tinkering with different concepts and projects, some of these blossoming into fully-fleshed out games and new IPs. One of these, Project Guard, has made its way into the latest Star Fox game, but its partner project, Project Giant Robot, stands alone.

The concept, designed with the Wii U GamePad in mind, made its debut in E3 back in 2014, but Nintendo "haven't yet decided to turn that into a full game," Miyamoto said in an interview with TIME.

Would you have liked to seen the concept turn to a full game or even a smaller eShop release?
