Kirby Embraces Tech in Planet Robobot

By Jorge Ba-oh 04.03.2016

The bubbly pink hero Kirby is returning to the platforming scene, but needs a little bit more tech this time round.

Announced during the latest Nintendo Direct, Kirby: Planet Robobot is a fresh platformer for Nintendo's handheld, due out in Japan in April and US/Europe on 10th June. Dream Land isn't the peaceful place for too long, as robotic invaders decide to wreak havoc within the colourful world. Naturally Kirby's powers are nulled against machines, so he uses their tech against them with new robotic armour abilities.

The game also includes a four-player co-operative feature and support for a wide range of amiibo figures that unlock abilities for Kirby. Link's amiibo, for example, gives Kirby a sword, whilst Mario donates a heap of fireballs.
