A Rare Look at Twelve Tales: Conker 64 in Action on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Rare animator Louise O'Conner reveals a, well, rare look at what could have been in Twelve Tales: Conker 64.

Before the once adorable squirrel hit puberty and went on an all-night binger in the fan-favourite platformer, Conker's Bad Fur Day, he had a slightly more chill experience in Twelve Tales: Conker 64 for the Nintendo 64.

Conker's Quest was originally revealed at E3 in 1997 alongside the first major showing of Banjo-Kazooie. The game then changed to Twelve Tales: Conker 64 a year later, however, with different hats pitched for each of the game's worlds. The team then decided to take on a very different approach, however, shelving the game in favour of Conker's Bad Fur Day.

Do you feel Rare made the right move with shelving Twelve Tales: Conker 64?

Awesome stuff, though some of the already leaked beta footage on the internet already showed much of what is shown here, but just in better quality and, from what can be seen, they haven't got the game running on actual hardware there, but most likely on an emulator, probably one of their own making, like the one they use in Rare Replay, to capture footage of that archived build of the game. It's good to see at last much better quality footage. I had never seen Berri being playable though, that was completely new to me.

Nah. I like my great mighty poo and sick/insane adult jokes... XD

The difference between illusion and reality is vague to the one who suffers from the former and questionable for the one suffering form the later.
