Skylanders Could Have Had More Nintendo Characters on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Developer Vicarious Visions had considered adding characters like Princess Peach and Fox to Skylanders.

Nintendo and Activision are working together to bring Bowser and Donkey Kong to Skylanders SuperChargers this year. The game, out on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS on 20th September, will see the two Nintendo stars travel to new worlds and battling new enemies.

Fans have been vocal about other Nintendo characters as potential Skylanders recruits, and Vicarious Visions had ideas, too. Warrior Princess Peach was discussed, but Nintendo felt it wouldn't quite be in character, likewise Kirby had licensing issues due to partial ownership by HAL.

Star Fox was also considered, but didn't make the cut.
