Nintendo 2DS Drops to $99 in the US on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The Nintendo 2DS is now more affordable in North America, with the console dropping to $99.99 this month.

The portable console is currently tagged with an RRP of $129.99 in various retailers, but from 30th August till drop below the hundred dollar mark to just $99.99 (around £65). The console will even come with a digital/eShop version of Mario Kart 7, adding more value to the system.

"The new lower-priced hardware combined with the strong lineup of new games launching this year and arguably the best library of games in this generation makes it a great time to be a Nintendo fan," said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America's Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
