See New Artwork from Monster Hunter X on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Capcom have shared new beast, town and NPC artwork from new Nintendo 3DS adventure, Monster Hunter X.

Monster Hunter X was announced for 3DS last week, a new game that uses the same base engine as Monster Hunter 4. There'll be a strong focus on the hunter this time round, together with a set of new monsters, locations and weapons to claw through.

My body is not ready....

The difference between illusion and reality is vague to the one who suffers from the former and questionable for the one suffering form the later.

Am liking the look of the cartoony one more. Can't get into standard Monster Hunter but that one may just be more to my liking. Smilie Not sure on this one.

Hopefully will change things up enough.  Just was talking with my brother in law last week how MH4U just seemed easier and less in depth than MH3U.  Perhaps its because we've gotten better as players over the years (I cut my teeth on Tri), but something about MH4U made it feel like "easy mode Monster Hunter" for us (which admittedly makes it a great intro point into the series and broadens its appeal). I'm hoping the changes in Cross bring back that sense of wonder and feeling of squishiness we had when we played our first MH game.  What I don't want is the Monster Hunter series to be like watching an M. Night Shyamalan movie: suspenseful the first time, but once you've seen it once, ain't much reason to return.
