Acro Storm Zips onto the Wii U eShop

Futuristic space racer Acro Storm will be zipping onto Wii U from independent developer Blue Comet Games.

Announced today, the project is heavily inspired by popular racers in the genre - including the likes of Nintendo's own F-Zero series, Wipeout and Extreme G. There'll be twelve characters to pilot, each with their own story modes and personalities, plus sixteen tracks to master.

The game will also feature a slew of weapons to use, plus a counter/defense system that can deflect oncoming projectiles.

The team are also working on support for online races, and are considering a Track Editor.

Acro Storm is on track for release on Wii U, PC and Mac.
