Fantasy Life Getting Smartphone Sequel on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Popular role-playing game Fantasy Life will be getting a smartphone sequel in Japan this summer.

The original Nintendo 3DS title was met with a lot of praise, including a strong review from Cubed3, but Level-5 announced at its Japanese Vision press conference that its sequel, Fantasy Life 2, will be for mobile platforms.

Players take control of a new character in a village, taking roles of fighting, mining and more, and can not only wander around freely, but also act as god, viewing the land from a top-down perspective. Players will also be able to team up in groups of four to take part in activities.

Japanese fans can pre-register now at the official website. Additionally, Fantasy Life Link! is going to be half-price on the eShop in Japan from April 22nd.

No 3DS? Bummer.
To me, a lot of smart phone games are tiring to play.

I feel like with a dedicated gaming system i can sit back and have a long session.
