Q.U.B.E: Director

Ever wondered what happened to the first person puzzler Q.U.B.E: Director's Cut? It's still gearing up for release this year.

The studio behind the project, Toxic Games, has confirmed that the title has, unfortunately, "taken longer than expected." However, Q.U.B.E: Director's Cut is on track to "release April/May time across all consoles (apart from 360)," confirmed Dan Da Rocha.

In Q.U.B.E: Director's Cut, players wake up wearing a pair of gloves that can manipulate blocks in the surrounding area, that need to be shifted about to progress through a maze of increasingly more challenging rooms.

Its getting a console release? Nice. I played the original release on PC and it really was an interesting game. I might prefer Portal or Quantum Conundrum over it, but anyone that enjoys those should find it a welcome addition to their collection.

I played the Wii U eShop version at Eurogamer Expo 2013 and it was nearly finished Smilie

Clearly by 'took longer than expected' actually means 'Wii U is selling like crap, so we needed to port it to as many other systems as possible to maximise potential sales.'

Right? Smilie

(And woo! New comments system!!)

Haha so basically what every company has done so far. XD Looks like a cool game. I never got to try the original!

I own all the consoles, ask me anything
