Hyrule Warriors Ships One Million Copies and New Wallpapers Are Released to Celebrate on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Koei Tecmo announced today that Hyrule Warriors has shipped over one million copies worldwide. To mark this milestone, the company has released several desktop wallpapers for fans to download from its web site. Tecmo Koei anticipated sales of over one million copies in May of last year so these figures bode well for that target. The game has received critical acclaim and was awarded a 9 by Cubed3.

This news comes on the same week as the arrival of the third pack of DLC for the game. On Thursday, gamers will be able to purchase the Majora's Mask pack for Hyrule Warriors. The pack will cost €6.99/£6.29 and is free for everyone who has already bought the Hero of Hyrule Pack which includes all four DLC packs that will be released for Hyrule Warriors and a bonus Dark Link costume.

Great wallpapers and well deserved sales!

Awww, just wanted beautiful Zelda to grace my desktop!

I wish they used the Hyrule Warriors Link and Zelda designs in Smash Bros instead of the same old TP designs again.

Very well deserved sales. It was a great game after all..

Now to hold my thumbs that Lana makes an appearance in Zelda Wii U... She must have a fanbase big enough for Nintendo to consider it, right? o.o

The difference between illusion and reality is vague to the one who suffers from the former and questionable for the one suffering form the later.

God no. HW is non-canon. Lana satisfied a certain demographic... Don't want characters like her worming their way into core Zelda games. She'll be property of Koei anyway.

Afraid you're right about that part about her being property of Koei... Smilie It is sad though as her character/role in the lore according to HW is a truly interesting one that could get evolved into something nice and exciting...

would be cool if lana was in smash and cia was her alternate
