Unwrap Shantae on Christmas Day on Wii U

WayForward have set an extra special treat for December 25th, majestic platforming with Shantae and the Pirate's Curse on Wii U.

The side-scrolling platformer, originally released on the 3DS eShop, has had solid reviews (including Cubed3's 7/10 and an 8/10 in our follow-up C3-2-1 review), and will now be gracing Nintendo's home console. In the game, protagonist Shantae ends up without her magic, genie abilities, and has to team up with long-term rival Risky Boots to save the world of Sequin from an evil curse.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse will be available on the big day, 25th December (9am PST), at $19.99 across North America, with details on a European date expected shortly.
