Just What is amiibo? Nintendo Airs new Adverts on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

amiibo is incoming this week, with the Nintendo figures touching down across North America.

The range of Nintendo-themed figures come with interactive bases, allowing players to tap them onto the Wii U GamePad to unlock special features in selected games using wireless technology.

From figure characters in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U to costumes in Mario Kart 8, Nintendo is developing a wide range of uses for the ickle pieces of plastic. New adverts has started to air across North America to help get across - just what is amiibo?
