Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric Broken by Knuckles on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A glitch has been encountered in Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric that allows portions of the game to be skipped.

The latest adventure for SEGA's popular mascot and friends, a 3D platformer developed by Big Red Button, has already been exploited by players by using Knuckles.

It involves using his double jump, which resets after the game is paused, to essentially allow players to access portions of a level that would previously have been impossible. Even the final boss can be skipped, according to various players.

I can't even begin to understand how some one codes a pause feature in such a way that certain state variables are reset... W.T.F.

If you wanted to skip levels then why not just press up,down, left, right at the start screen?

State of this game is hilarious. Sonic 06 all over again.

Kinda sucks that even though this game had the potential to do interesting new things with the franchise, it ended up being a complete mess.

Also, those lifeless models of Sonic & friends are terrifying.

Played this during E3 - it was bollocks.

I played it at the Sydney games expo and it was so shit. I really thought they were getting to a turning point with games like Colours and Generations but the games since then have been terrible. People are asking for Sonic Adventure 3 but they'd probably ruin it just like they did with Sonic 4.

Those lifeless models of Sonic and co remind me of Link statues in Majoras Mask
