Nintendo held a Direct presentation last night, with a wide range of software covered, from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D to delicious new DLC for Mario Kart 8.

Nintendo 3DS Updates
- Nintendo went in straight for the kill with The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D crashing onto Nintendo 3DS next Spring.
- Nintendo announced Lost heroes 2 for Nintendo 3DS during the Japanese Nintendo Direct, bringing cross-over heroic tactical action to the handheld next February.
- The company also showcased a brief snippet of Atelier Rorona for Nintendo 3DS.
- Ultimate NES Remix is now out on the European eShop, with those in the US receiving a free Nintendo 3DS menu theme.
- Bring on the RPG action with a new trailer and details for Code Name S.T.E.A.M on Nintendo 3DS.
- A demo version for Sonic Boom on Nintendo 3DS is now available to download on the eShop, alongside special 3DS home themes.
- Diancie is now available at selected GAME stores across the UK, with a serial code to unlock the critter in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.
Nintendo Wii U Updates
- Mario Kart 8 DLC was given a firm release date of 13th November, with both new and returning tracks.
- Nintendo unveiled just how amiibo figures will be used in Mario Kart 8, with players able to unlock Mii costumes.
- A demo for the critically acclaimed Pikmin 3 was released on the Wii U eShop last night, along with short animated movies penned by Shigeru Miyamoto.

- Nintendo showcased how solo player will work in the new Wii U shooter, Splatoon.

- Shovel Knight was released on the Nintendo eShop, for classic 2D side-scrolling action.
- Nintendo spoke to various developers during this year's IndieCade, with games including Sportsball, Costume Quest 2 and Runbow.
- Nintendo also posted eShop highlights for the coming months for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
