Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai has teased an upcoming announcement for the Wii U version.
Despite the game now available on Nintendo 3DS and a Wii U release imminent, Sakurai isn't "done yet" he declared in Japanese magazine Famitsu. He outlined the cross-platform functionality between both systems, where players will be able to use 3DS consoles as controllers for the Wii U edition, plus also share customised Mii fighters.
There'll also be features exclusive to the Wii U version that Sakurai believes will show the "true potential of Smash Bros." he teased. An announcement should be coming soon; but it's not certain how it'll become public - perhaps in a daily Miiverse post or specific Nintendo Direct broadcast.
