Metroid Collaboration for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Announced on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The latest Nintendo Direct - that was aired specifically for the Japanese release of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate - confirmed one more Nintendo collaboration following ones with the Mario and The Legend of Zelda series. Samus Aran from Metroid will be making an appearance in both her Zero Suit and Power Suit with a special bowgun that looks like her iconic arm cannon and makes retro sounds with each shot. Shooting various types of ammo causes the arm cannon to transform, too, which can be seen in the video below.

Fans can look forward to trying out these special costumes and weapons when the game arrives in western territories in early 2015.

You could watch that trailer and tell unsuspecting people that it's Metroid for the 3DS! Some what I was it was!

With samus now in Bayonetta and Monster Hunter I have to hope that Nintendo are working on an actual metroid game!

Yeah, I have a feeling that Nintendo was waiting for RETROSTUDIOS to finish DKC Tropical Freeze before working on another Metroid title. With how well they did the Prime Trilogy I'm sure Nintendo feels that Samus is safest in their hands...esspecially with the fiasco with Other M....even though it was Nintendo's fault regarding the Story & her narrative aparantly.....I still think Team Ninja screwed her personality up. Gameplay was spot on though!! Smilie

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422
