Super Smash Bros. 3DS Sells over 1 Million in Japan on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo have confirmed a strong start for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS in Japan so far.

During its first week in Japan, the popular fighting game sold over one million copies, including the downloadable/eShop version, the company confirmed. Over one million units of the physical version were shipped at the end of last week.

Other titles that have achieved similar success in their opening days on the market include the likes of Yokai Watch 2, Monster Hunter 4 plus Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS will be available in Europe and the US from 3rd October.
