Hyrule Warriors Costume DLC Retailer Exclusive in UK on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Following on from the retailer exclusive costume DLC of Hyrule Warriors in North America, it is now apparent that specific stores in the UK will also have rights to the add-on content for the game for a limited time.

Releasing on 19th September across Europe, the downloadable costumes for Link and Zelda are based on their Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword designs, and will only be available by pre-ordering from select retailers. However, Nintendo has confirmed that the DLC outfits will eventually be available to purchase from the Nintendo eShop in the future.

Each set will be available at the following stores:

Ocarina of Time costumes - Nintendo UK online store
Twilight Princess costumes - GAME UK
Skyward Sword costumes - Amazon UK

Nintendo UK is also running a Club Nintendo promotion for customers to obtain the Demon King Costume Set for Ganondorf - two additional costumes based on his Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess designs. The details for obtaining them are as follows:

You can receive a download code for the Demon King Costume Set, which includes two additional costumes for Ganondorf from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, if you register Hyrule Warriors in Club Nintendo between 09:00 (UK time) on September 19th 2014 and 23:59 (UK time) on October 17th 2014. Check the banners in Club Nintendo to claim and redeem your free download code on or before November 17th 2014. If you choose to purchase the downloadable version of Hyrule Warriors from Nintendo eShop on Wii U, before purchasing you must first register your Wii U console with your Club Nintendo account.

That is sort of bullshit, also i cant help but notice buying games from Nintendo actually costs more than retailers, whats up with that.

Pre-ordered from TheGameCollection, so won't be getting any of them. :/

Bit disapointed... I really wanted those extra skins. I hope they'll be cheap to buy.

Same but I just cancelled to the Amazon one. I figured £2 more will be cheaper than the eShop price in the future.

Yeah, might have to do that, too. Probably will work out cheaper.

No costumes for me then Smilie I honestly don't feel like changing my pre order from shopto just to get a couple of costumes.

This should have been announced much earlier. Not after everybody's placed pre-orders at all sorts of places.

Guess my Amazon preorder was on the money then. Preorder content sucks but at least they'll still be up to buy separately soon. :/

Let's see...I'll be paying 38 pounds and won't get any of these. Whatever then, I'm sure as hell not giving up on getting it early because I really don't want idiots spoiling everything while I'm still waiting for it. It went quiet again after the Japanese launch (in the right places, anyway), but that'll surely change when it releases over here.

Well I hope these are available on the NA eShop at least, I hate it when they pull this kind of segregated BS for collectors like me.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422
