Rumour: Taiko no Tatsujin Wii U Sequel Underway? on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

RUMOUR: Cyber sleuths have uncovered what looks like a new entry in the Taiko no Tatsujin series for Wii U.

A page on the Taiko website, spotted earlier this week, suggests that a sequel to the Wii U entry may well be underway. The site, http://wiiu2.taiko-ch.net, gives an error message of "test page" when viewed, suggesting that it may well be a placeholder prior to any official announcement.

The first website, http://wiiu.taiko-ch.net, also had a similar message before becoming official.

Despite a steady success in Japan so far, the Wii U entry has yet to receive localisation treatment for eager fans in the West.

With the ease of digital distribution there is less and less reason not to release this in the west in some form :x But saying that most the charm comes from the funky jpop tracks, if they released it westside we'd get another donkey konga :/

I love the arcade version.
Without the massive drum it's not quite the same, but it's still fun.
