Speaking on Hyrule Warriors, Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma teased the future of the series, and how the dynamics will change.
After working on the spin-off brawler for Wii U, Aonuma wants to use some of this as inspiration for the new game, where things will happen "regardless of whether or not you're in this particular space." How players tackle these "different areas on the map really changes how you progress through the game."
An open-world has been the hot topic for the new Legend of Zelda game, and it's said to be "really, really dynamic. It's really, really expansive", he said. "It also increases replay value because if you change your strategy, your process will also change."
Having worked on the "expansive battlefield style" type of game has "really opened my eyes to new discoveries and my thought and approach to gameplay has really deepened."
With the new Wii U adventure, Aonuma can now see "many, many possibilities."
What are you hoping to see from the landscape in the new Zelda game?
