Takamaru Joins Smash Bros as an Assist Trophy on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Today's Super Smash Bros update reveals a new assist trophy, Takamaru from Mysterious Murasame Castle.

Hot off the news that the NES classic Mysterious Murasame Castle is finally heading to North America this year is confirmation that Takamaru will appear in Super Smash Bros as an assist trophy. Armed with his Pinwheel Knives and blade, the samurai can dish out some quick damage on unsuspecting goes.

"I, Takamaru, have waited many years to appear in Super Smash Bros.! Link, Samus, Pit, and I debuted in the same year!" said producer Masahiro Sakurai on Miiverse today.
