Independent Retailers Can Now Sell Digital Nintendo Titles on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Independent retailers will be able to now sell digital eShop games for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

The service, provided by DLCSoft, will let these stores sell eShop releases as downloadable codes for players to redeem on their systems. Sony are already in on the act, having started a partnership last November.

Full retail titles and digital-only, indie titles and classic Virtual Console re-releases will be included as part of the selection when it goes live later this month.

The new focus on selling access to downloadable/eShop games could well broaden the market for offers on these titles, with retailers (presumably) able to offer their own discounts and incentives for going digital on Nintendo systems.

What do you think of independent retailers having access to digital games?

Thank god GAME will no longer have a monopoly on digital Nintendo games. They sell em for more than physical copies. :/

Hopefully the competition means cheaper downloads.
