E3 2014 | Kamiya: Bayonetta Wii U will run at 60FPS on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The Wii U version of the original Bayonetta will run at 60FPS on Wii U, according to director Hideki Kamiya.

Released back in 2009, the game was confirmed this week for a re-release on Wii U, together with the much anticipated Nintendo-exclusive sequel, Bayonetta 2. When asked on Twitter, Kamiya replied that the Wii U version of the first game will run at a smooth 60 frames per second and will also be based on the Xbox 360 version.

Discussion and roundtable session for Bayonetta at E3 also highlighted some of the alternative control schemes available, taking advantage of the Wii U GamePad's capabilities.

Sweet....I can hear the fan rage flaming being reminded.....& their tears are delicious!!

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

This makes me want to get the game even more know xD

He later clarified that it won't be locked at 60fps, however, and have some rare drops like the 360 version during specific, insane scenes. Considering how much Platinum regrets outsourcing the PS3 port and Kamiya himself overlooked this one, I'm not really worried about that, though.

Yeah, Platinum have yet to make a game without framedrops in at least some part, so this doesn't bother me at all. I played through the PS3 version just fine so I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this improved version. Smilie
