E3 2014 Media | A Look at Miyamoto

Legendary Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto showcased some of his new projects, like Robot Guard and Star Fox.

The father of Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda is keen to bring his own innovation and ideas to the GamePad, with a focus on smaller projects that highlight just why the controller is crucial for gaming at home.

In Project Guard, players plot surveillance cameras across a base to prevent a robot invasion, whilst Project Giant Robot involves beating down fellow mechs in big city landscapes. Miyamoto also showed the new Star Fox outside the show-floor, demonstrating how the new cockpit mechanics work.
