Mario Kart 8 Gets First DLC with Mercedes Promotion on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo of Japan have teamed up with Mercedes to offer a free DLC car in Mario Kart 8.

It may look like the result of a Photoshop experiment gone horribly wrong, but players in Japan will be able to download the Mercedes GLA car in the game this summer. In a statement to Eurogamer, Nintendo noted how "we will be able to announce [something] in the near future."

The porky plumber also appears in a new Mercedes GLA live-action advert, with a rather butch looking Mario storming a desert, only to be knocked out by an unsuspecting Goomba.

So obviously Mario Kart 8 supports DLC.

I wonder what other DLC is planned for the game.

Pikmin 3 DLC has been my favorite Nintendo DLC so far.

What? lol. Nah way. Roger is skinny as hell. This guy looks buffer than him to me. That would be one random ass cross over too XD Besides, Roger's been pretty tied up playing tennis the last couple of months so, this would have had to have been filmed a while back. But hey, prove me wrong XD

DLC? Yes. Proper battle courses, better characters like Dixie Kong, and beachwear for Daisy. That is all.

The character roster definitely feels a bit rushed for launch to me, this definitely gets my hopes up for some extra characters, and maybe even courses!

Well the commercial definitely helps back up the possibility for this DLC. I'd LOVE to have various Lamborghini spots cars as DLC as well in the near future for MK8, Lamborghini over Ferrari!! XP

Two extra cups would be splendid! One completely new, one retro cup. Proper battle stages and a few returning fan-favorite characters would be nice.

courses i love most of the tracks but i feel like we need more dont get me wrong we could use vechiles and characters i just feel like tracks should be first
