Mirrored Characters for Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Certain characters will be mirrored when facing from right to left in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. titles.

In a Miiverse update, series producer Masahiro Sakurai highlighted that some characters, like Mario, Kirby and Bowser will "automatically be mirrored when facing left or right" in order to "show the best features of each character even better".

The reason for this came down to characters like Kirby, where the back of his head was shown whilst facing left. "Now Kirby looks great from any angle", Sakurai said.

Actually their limbs are mirrored... It's unlikely that non-parrallel characters will suddenly change their weapon hand etc. But I guess we'll have to see.
