A List of Wii and DS Games from EA to go Offline on June 30th

Various Nintendo DS and Wii titles from EA will see their hosted online services turned off at the end of June.

Due to the closure of GameSpy's hosted servers, EA's past catalogue is yet another victim of having to stop online functionality due to servers going offline.

Given the hurdles with "technical challenges and concerns about the player experience", the publisher decided to close down the functionality for a wide number of games from June 30th, but are "still investigating community-supported options" to possibly keep the functionality up in the future.

Amongst the Nintendo list, software that will go offline include:

• Madden NFL 09 (DS)
• MySims Party (Wii)
• MySims Racing (DS)
• MySims SkyHeroes (Wii/DS)
• Need for Speed: ProStreet (DS)
• Need for Speed: Undercover (DS)
• SimCity Creator (Wii)
• Skate It (DS)
• Sneezies (Wii)
• Spore Creatures (DS)
