A group of hackers have dug deep within the Wii U, unearthing the boot file that the system uses when booting up.
A group called "Wii U Hax" were able to access the Wii U hardware, partially, by using the Wii mode to circumvent Nintendo's own protection in the default Wii U mode. It's early days for those hoping for an explosion in the Wii U homebrew scene, but supposedly working proof that hackers and developers are able to take those first steps in bringing homebrew to the system.
