First Wii U Exploit Revealed by Hackers on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A group of hackers have dug deep within the Wii U, unearthing the boot file that the system uses when booting up.

A group called "Wii U Hax" were able to access the Wii U hardware, partially, by using the Wii mode to circumvent Nintendo's own protection in the default Wii U mode. It's early days for those hoping for an explosion in the Wii U homebrew scene, but supposedly working proof that hackers and developers are able to take those first steps in bringing homebrew to the system.

Opening up the system for people to create homebrew games is fine. It's the potential pirating of software that is illegal.

True...but if Devs refuse to bring certain games over to the Wii U I see no problem in molding said games to be played on Wii U since there is NONE of that said game on that particular system to pirate from.

If this can put Dark Souls , all 3 Dead Space's, both Castlevania Lords of Shadow titles AND a lower end version of FF15 I'll GLADLY mod my Wii U.

Up yours ya weak minded doubting devs!!!!
