Legend of Zelda LEGO Set up for Approval on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

LEGO Cuusoo has confirmed that the Legend of Zelda: Iron Knuckle fan-made concept has been pushed forward for review.

The Iron Knuckle set is the latest attempt from fans to try and filter approval from Nintendo and finally get a Legend of Zelda set made. The project was approved back in 2012, with over 10,000 votes required for LEGO to consider the concept for production.

Nintendo's recent efforts to expand core IPs beyond the video game market could help push the possible Legend of Zelda LEGO set that bit further.

A video announcement from LEGO confirms that Legend of Zelda: Iron Knuckle Encounter will go under review from the LEGO team, and of course Nintendo for licensing, with the results to be confirmed in late Spring.

Would love to have LEGO The Legend of Zelda (and other Nintendo) sets!

It's the type of high-quality licensing deal that were be perfect for Nintendo.

Other than it getting approved by LEGO, the only potential issue I see is if Nintendo's licensing deal with K'NEX would prevent a deal with LEGO. K'NEX currently has rights for "Super Mario" and "Mario Kart". Does their deal only include those franchises or does K'NEX have rights the rest of Nintendo's IP as well.
