Rumour: Minecraft Heading to Wii U? on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

RUMOUR: A rumour has started to circulate, suggesting that popular sandbox game Minecraft is being built for Nintendo Wii U.

According to a retail insider speaking to Nintendo Enthusiast this week, the game is in development for Wii U thanks to efforts from Nintendo. The source states that developer Mojang is in possession of Wii U development kits and is crafting a port alongside Xbox One and PS4 releases.

The GamePad is naturally said to be the highlight of the Wii U version, with a potential release during Summer next year.

It makes perfect sense. I know 3rd parties have struggled on the WiiU but this is frickin MINECRAFT. This will sell even on WiiU. Having item management and the world map on the Gamepad will be fantastic. Smilie

Man I HOPE this happens, it's about time devs start growing up & realizing Nintendo DOES have a Market for these & OTHER games....still waiting for Skullgirls as well as the Scott Pilgrim game to be on the eShop.
