Nintendo have confirmed that there are now more than 4 million new Pokémon X and Pokémon Y trainers around the globe.
Both games launched worldwide on the same day, Saturday 12th October, and already produced exceptional sales in just two days on the market.
The early response to Pokémon X and Pokémon Y not only reaffirms the ongoing passion of Pokémon fans, but also indicates that an entirely new generation of gamers are eager to experience the franchise for themselves. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata
Since 2002, five pairs of Pokémon titles have combined to exceed 10 million units worldwide, with three of these surpassing 15 million units as of 31st March 2013.
