Yakuza producer Mitsuhiro Shimano has confirmed that Yakuza 1 & 2 HD for Wii U will include family features.
In an interview with Famitsu, Shimano highlighted how he felt that the original game was perhaps to difficult for some and so the Wii U version is somewhat easier to understand from start to finish. He hopes those who shied away originally would return to give the Wii U edition a go.
There's a map show on the GamePad, a digital marker, plus clearer signage to make traveling about far more streamlined. In addition there'll be a "Heat Up" mode from the start to make building that all-important metre far quicker.
Amusingly, there'll also be an off-TV feature for, as Shimano puts it, "fathers out there" who may feel uncomfortable going into these cabaret clubs "if your child or even wife are around (laughs)". He suggests that the off-TV mode could be useful for this... spicy!
The Wii U Pro controller is also supported for those wanting a more traditional experience.
Yakuza 1 & 2 HD is out this week in Japan.
