Im confused. If fairy is a new category what category has jigglypuff been confused for this last decade?

Fairy is a new type (not category), and Jigglypuff has been catalogued as a Normal type Pokémon for the last decade. Just as Magnemite was though to be pure Electric in Generation 1 and after the Steel type was discovered in generation 2, scientists decided that Magnemite was Steel type aswell.

more battles more fun.
