Yakuza 1 + 2 Confirmed for Upscaled Wii U Bundle on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Announced during the Japan Nintendo Direct today, Nintendo confirmed an HD bundle for the Yakuza 1 and 2.

The collection, bundled together as a single package, will collate together the first two games in the open-world series. It'll boast upscaled graphics and Wii U exclusive features displayed on the GamePad screen. The Yakuza 1 and 2 bundle will be available in Japan on August 8th. A Western release has yet to be confirmed.

I wonder if this will be released outside of Japan? The PS3 version hasn't so far, looks like Nintendo and Sega are best buds now with this and Sonic.

I remember people saying that Yakuza wouldn't come to Wii U because it was PS exclusive.

I bet they are backpeddling into oblivion....

It is something, but still - bit dated and upscaled. Hopefully this would pave the way for something special, like a Shenmue trilogy bundle if they ever did release 3.

Well this is a pleasent surprise, let's hope it gets localised in our regeons.

Unfortunately It looks like shit on Wii U. Sega should just release the PS3 version in the West, if they don't want to get burned yet again.

It doesn't look "like shit", that's a bit of an overexaggeration. All I noticed were the jaggies and slightly blurry vending machine. And besides, its getting
gamepad functionality to make up for it. Smilie
