Bravely Default Sequel Already in the Works! on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Bravely Default FF, the surprise Square-Enix throwback RPG, is already receiving a sequel. Hot on the heels of the first game's success in glorious Nihon, the sequel was confirmed by Tomoya Asano back in December. The news flew under the radar, possibly due to the fact that Bravely Default still has not seen an international release and will not reach North American or European shores until late 2013, early 2014!

An interesting bit of news is that the game's producer, Asano, put up an online questionnaire, similar to the Club Nintendo post-play surveys, which asked fans for feedback on the game's design. Consisting of 100 questions, the survey asks the player to rate 100 items based on how strongly the user agrees or disagrees with the item. For instance, "There's currently only one save slot available; add multiple save slots."

While the news of a sequel is great, here at cubed3 we can only say that we're still hoping to play the first game!

Hopefully the first is more successful here than Square expect, and that we might not have to wait 4 years to find out whether or not this is even getting localised at all.

Am still happy to hear that Europe are getting this in 2013! Smilie US getting it in 2014 is a lil strange but I guess after the Wii RPG fiasco (Last Story etc) I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. RPGs seem to be on the up in Europe!

This news is 5 months old... And a sequel was acknowledged in the last BDFF news article.

You sound like a cool guy, Raiden. We should hang out some time.

The age of the news was mentioned in the article. It's just a little story as we didn't have an article talking about the sequel explicitly, and there's nothing wrong with more news about an interesting title we still haven't seen in English speaking waters. Likely, many have not heard of the sequel yet.

No need for that.

I just thought it's odd to report such old news, that's all.
