Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2 3DS in Development for Two Years on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The upcoming Nintendo 3DS sequel to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past has been in development for two years.

In a Japanese-only Nintendo Direct, series producer Eiji Aonuma confirmed that the upcoming Nintendo 3DS game, due for release this holiday season, has been in development since 2011 - perhaps leading on from Miyamoto's interest in revisiting the world of A Link to the Past.

The day we'll be seeing the successor is still further ahead, but for those of you who wish to contribute or show your support, please comment on the Wii U The Legend of Zelda series community [on Miiverse].

Whilst the game doesn't have a Western subtitle, it seems over in Japan Nintendo are calling it "A Link to the Past 2".

What do you think of the new Nintendo 3DS Legend of Zelda game?
