Aksys, of VLR and 999, Announces New Visual Novel Adventure

You know Aksys from the psychological thrillers 999 and Virtue's Last Reward. Well, they've just announced a new visual novel for the 3DS. Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi is part of the Hakuoki series. It's a long running visual novel series that stretches back to the Playstation 2.

This Hakuoki game will feature multiple stories, featuring a group of Samurai warriors as they search for a missing man in Imperial era Japan. The title is said to feature "3d characters", possibly much like the excellent animated character models of Virtue's Last Reward. In addition, the game will feature several extra functions, such as a movie viewer to rewatch scenes from the game.
