Project X Zone Brawls on Nintendo 3DS in Europe from July 5th on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Namco Bandai have confirmed a European release date for Project X Zone, heading to Nintendo 3DS this July.

Last week a North America date was set for July 25th and today the publisher's European arm confirmed a slightly earlier release on July 5th, bringing together a cast of popular SEGA, Capcom and Namco Bandai franchises into an action packed brawler. The roster includes Jill and Chris from Resident Evil, Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li from Street Fighter, Jin Kazama and Heihachi from Tekken and the star of Valkyria Chronicles, Kurt Iving.

Year of the 3DS!

Is Ultimate X Zone the name for the UK version or what they'll call it here in the states? Either way I hope Capcom isn't making this a patern, too many "Ultimate" names will deminish the effect.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

It's called Project X Zone everywhere.

Yeah NVM, the video wouldn't play for me so I had to youtube it. It was stuck on the image with Jin that said "The Ultimate Cross Over". Capcom just has away of slapping Ultimate on almost everything these days so yeah I thought they wanted Atlus to change that for western & far western release at the last minute.

Fair enough. Atlus isn't involved, though. Namco Bandai is publisher.

But I thought Atlus was the one paying for the localization? Who do I thank for bringing this Gem to us then?

Namco Bandai.

I'm assuming Capcom West were keen too, especially as part of their efforts to actually give MegaMan an anniversary, but Capcom Japan may have been a different story (afaik they have to give permission before Capcom West can localise anything even if they want to, Ace Attorney Investigations 2 for example).

So thank you Namco! I do hope they continue at this nice rate of localising things, they can do even better by localising the Vita Tales games.
As for SEGA, no official SEGA West bodies have even once acknowledged this localisation's existence. I understand it doesn't fit their western image, but come on why would they miss the opportunity to push some of their legacy? SEGA are a baffling company.
