Swords & Soldiers Heading to Nintendo 3DS eShop on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Hong Kong developer Circle Entertainment is working on a port of WiiWare classic Swords & Soldiers for Nintendo 3DS.

Developed originally by Ronimo games, the strategy title involved three regions who going at it in a war setting - Aztecs, Vikins and Imperial Chinese - throw in fast paced, real-time action, various spells and units for a deep RTS experience despite being put together by a team of just 10 people.

Now Circle Entertainment, are developing the 3D port and are in discussions with Ronimo to offer free DLC and a possible demo.

Swords & Soldiers 3D will be available on the Nintendo eShop in 2013 - currently slated for Spring.

Fantastic news! I know Ronimo had a bad experience on WiiWare, so it's great to see that Circle has twisted its arm to give S&S another chance on eShop. Hopefully it will convince Ronimo to head back to the Nintendo fold Smilie

That's actually really smart! I heard it's a good game, but I never had much interest in WiiWare games.

If it's succesful, I hope more quality WiiWare titles get ported, preferably to the Wii U eShop. (Hydroventure, I'm looking at you.)
