Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - New Gameplay Trailer on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

SEGA has released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming HD racing game Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, due for home consoles including Wii U.

This video reveals some brand new stages including tracks based on the famous Skies of Arcadia, Samba de Amigo and Afterburner SEGA franchises, as well as a Starlight Carnival course from Sonic Colours.

IGN has revealed that the Wii U version of the sequel to Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing will include all of the features of the other HD console iterations, plus the ability to play the game solely on the Wii U GamePad free from the TV, maps and additional information on the GamePad screen during gameplay, and gyro sensor controls to steer.

The game is penned in for a November release on HD consoles, so expect Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed to be arriving for Wii U on or just after the system's launch date.

"Let's add plenty of subtitles and see if that makes the game better!"

Although this is a terrible trailer, even compared to some of the other ones for this game, this actually has my interest.

I'm not a fan of Sonic or really any Sega franchise at all, but I've been waiting for a racing game to harken back to Diddy Kong Racing. If the levels in this turn out to be cool enough, and maybe has a singleplayer mode added, I'll probably check this out.

Like video game music?!

Don't think it's a terrible trailer tbh although the music is gash, but this is looking like a next-gen Diddy Kong Racing, so should definitely have kart fans interested. If the characters were DK characters, people would be going nuts over it. Dunno if there's an adventure mode like DKR, though, but definitely one to keep an eye on.

SEGA always uses lame music for their trailers it seems.

The game supposedly has a story mode, though I'm not sure what that entails, here's hoping for a DKR style Adventure mode.

Looking forward to this!

This looks like it has potential, surprisingly. If someone at C3 gives this a solid review, I might pick it up (assuming I have the necessary console).

I don't think everyone realized it, but "16.11.12" is part of the title, too.

It looks quite good and I never thought I'd say that for a Sonic racing game.

Oh Boy, you get to avoid Hazards! How innovative!

Do these games sell well enough to warrant sequels?!

Yeah it was well received and sold pretty well too.

Made by probably the only really talented dev team SEGA has left.
