Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has just wrapped up his presentation to the world with the first glimpse of a new Wii U controller.
Nintendo hope to address a core and casual situation with the next home console, the Wii U, and to do so will offer a variety of control methods - the Wii U tablet controller, now dubbed "Wii U Game Pad", Wii Remotes, nunchuck and now the Wii U Pro Controller - a wireless alternative to those who want traditional control but won't want to hook up a Wii Remote and Classic Controller Pro.
It boasts twin analogue sticks in the same formation as the Game Pad, plus your four face buttons, directional pad and four shoulder triggers. Certainly no excuse for a well earned first-person shooter romp or those who want conventional control for the next Super Smash Bros.
Aside from that, there appears to be support for our Wii U controllers per console, some form of connection at the top (presumable for charging) and a nifty power button for the lazier bums.
