Chun-Li and Morrigan Join Project X Zone on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

New details for the 3DS developer cross-over, Project X Zone, have surfaced - including an updated roster with Morrigan and Chun-Li.

The cast list has expanded to include a whole host of familiar and rather obscure faces from the world of Japanese game development. These folk join the likes of Ryu, Dante, Chris Red Field, Frank West, Lei-Lei and Zephyr.

  • Sakura Wars: Erica and Gemini
  • Mugen Frontier Super Robot Wars: Nanbu Kaguya and Haken
  • Dynamite Deka: Bruno
  • Darkstalkers: Morrigan
  • Street Fighter: Chun-Li

The latest Famitsu report demonstrates some of the game's mechanics. The core battle process revolves around a grid-based map. Your character and support appear over a segmented field - and can move a number of spaces, with the fastest chaps or chapettes going first.

If one of your units are close by, around eight spaces, then you'll be able to team up to perform a more specific super move "support attack". If your characters happen to attack at the same time this instead forms a "cross hit" - where your enemy then freezes, open to further damage.

Project X Zone, the love child of SEGA, Namco Bandai and Capcom, has certainly gained a lot of attention, however is still tied to home Japan for now.

As I said before...waiting for Felicia to be announced. Morrigan is over rated, Felicia is a better fighter & much MUCH hotter.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

May be the only reason I end my personal boycott against Capcom. Unless for some reason this sucks :I

.Monolith are developing the game.

WHAT? :O I'm even more hyped for this game now than I already was. With Monolith Soft as the developer, maybe the chance for a localisation is a tiny bit higher too?

Wait.....does that mean we MIGHT get some Monolith characters too? I know thwy haven't been around THAT long but I'd LOVE to play as Mechonized Fiora & the guy from Disaster Day of Crisis!!

Well, technically, the characters from Xenosaga/gear are Monolith characters, so I sort of doubt it. Although you might get characters from Baten Kaitos.

While the original staff members created the series Bamco holds the rights. I'd still like to play as Mech Fiora along with Kos-Mos.

You forgot to mention that Namco's Valkyrie is also playable in the game.

Oh sweet really? Source please.
