3D can a nifty solution for reinvigorating classic franchises and Nintendo hope to do this with third party greats.
In a report with the online edition of Japanese paper Nikkei, the House of Mario confirmed that as part of the growing 3DS line-up, there are plans to revive past franchises from third party studios. The first in what will likely be a large basket of remakes comes in the form of Yoot Saito's popular cult hit Seaman.
The report touched on the 2000 Dreamcast project will eventually be brought to the 3DS in someway, whether a port or a completely new game is uncertain.
