Nintendo Make Mini Horror Promo for Spirit Camera on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

To promote the upcoming 3DS Fatal Frame spin-off, Spirit Camera, Nintendo have put together a short horror movie.

The unique AR-driven horror title uses a special book that produces all sorts of virtual creepy clues and ghouls when looking at it through the 3DS's rather special on-board Spirit Camera. You can even take scary snaps with your friends using the AR technology. The ickle 12 minute drama is now airing on the Japanese Nintendo Channel, but you can grab a look at two terrified young ladies in the sequence below.

Spirit Camera: The Possessed Notebook is due for release in Japan on January 12th for 3,800 yen.

Really great work - mixing things like One Missed Call, Ring, Dark Water, Grudge, etc. Really goes to show what Nintendo can do to promote things.

The sad thing is, though, that all I could think about during the first couple of scenes was that there is no chance three people could clearly see a 3DS with 3D turned on! Smilie

By the way, this is almost definitely coming to Europe Smilie

It's a shame Nintendo doesn't do more work like this...

I agree whole heartedly with their morals & emphasis on family based games in an increasingly M rated market (someone has to help keep the world sane & kind) but I really liked their creative work with Eternal Darkness & would LOVE to see what else they could do....maybe that's the kind of game Miamoto is working on, you know the undisclosed new I.P.!!

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422
