Ninja Gaiden Confirmed as Nintendo Wii U Launch Title on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Tecmo Koei has confirmed that it will be releasing a version of Ninja Gaiden 3 at the launch of Nintendo's Wii U. In its recent earnings presentation, it was revealed how the company that worked closely with Nintendo on Metroid: Other M is going to be supporting Nintendo's Wii successor system, Wii U, right from launch with its highly anticipated game Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge.

Elsewhere in the official report, it was revealed that whilst many people thought that Dead or Alive: Dimensions had been an unmitigated disaster worldwide, despite considerable pre-release hype, the game has gone on to sell 310,000 units over the past six months. Considering it re-used assets from previous Dead or Alive entries, there is hope that the strong worldwide sales will trigger a future portable release.

What are your thoughts on Ninja Gaiden being a Wii U launch title, and the sales of Dead or Alive: Dimensions on 3DS?

Did people think DOA did poor? Glad to see them proven wrong. I wouldn't have thought it would do badly. It's DOA, on a handheld.

I recently beat Ninja Gaiden Sigma on PS3. Pretty fun, but difficult as hell. Had to resort to the easy mode that you get the option of doing if you die three times in a row. Had a better experience of the game playing it on easy though to be fair. NG3 should be a nice game for the Wii U to have at launch, definitely.

Well let's just hope they can follow through with their promise. It's good to see someone other than Ubisoft having Nintendo's back but I'm more excited to see what Itagaki has in store for it. He wants to play with powerful systems? Well the Wii U will be the strongest of them all till the ps4 & xbox720 come out.

I'm hoping they release a new DOA game for the Wii U, the 3DS has already become a great system for fighters and hopefully the Wii U will as well.

They most likely will, the new director of Team Ninja cripticly said that "Samus isn't playable yet" when asked about her appierence in DOA Dimentions. I'm sure we'll get her as a playable in DOA 5 just like the Spartan chick in DOA 4.
