The Nintendo DS forever changed the gaming landscape, and the fact that consumers continue to embrace the platform is a testament to its value and mass appeal. Our hand-held story continues with the Nintendo 3DS system, which just had its second consecutive month of growth and enters its first holiday season with a monster line-up of games, including Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7.

The 273 million software units sold for the Nintendo DS family equates to more than 107,000 games being sold per day, every day for almost seven years. Is it surprising to see Star Fox 64 3D selling so much compared to the previous release on DS? Did you expect the 3DS numbers to be higher due to the price-drop?

On the topic of Bit Trip Complete, it seems hard to come by on the North American market, simply because most retailers didn't even bother to stock it :/ (lots of users complains on the Gaijin Games website on that topic)

It's a shame - I think a lot of retailers are wary of picking up certain Wii and DS games now Smilie I'm pleased to see how well Star Fox did, but it's a bit of a slow start for Kirby. Damn addictive game, so hopefully good word of mouth will help it grow next month.
