The DS Lite is getting a new lower retail price next week at $99.99 (£60/€70/$90 AUS), plus a special selection of Mario games for a range of portable fun.
The popular console is slowly being phased out with the new recommended price point. The offer will also be accompanied by a handful of Mario games with new red packaging, to "make it easy for them to find their favorite Mario titles", according to Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime.
The move also marks the last chance gamers will be able to grab a new console that plays GameBoy Advance games.
Nintendo also confirmed total sales for each of the new Mario selection, including New Super Mario Bros which has just slipped past 9 million and Super Mario 64 with over 4.34 million sold.
