Nintendo's past lover Rare may be working on the 3DS with games based on past franchises like Banjo-Kazooie and Star Fox Adventures.
According to "reliable sources" speaking to Gameolosophy, the British based studio may continue working on portable projects for Nintendo. Despite being a subsidiary for competitor Microsoft, Rare has been allowed to produce games on Nintendo handhelds - including Banjo-Pilot, Donkey Kong Country 2 / 3 and Sabre Wulf for Game Boy Advance.
Rare also had a pair of hits for Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise and Diddy Kong Racing for Nintendo DS.
Rumours suggest that Rare is hoping to develop something in the Banjo-Kazooie series as well - perhaps enhanced ports of the original, most-loved games or a completely new portable adventure a-la Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge.
On the Nintendo side, a 3DS enhanced port of the 2002 GameCube game StarFox Adventures is apparently also being considered.
