Want Renegade Kid on DSiWare? Vote Now! on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Back in early December 2010, Renegade Kid put out a request to see if people wanted a Nintendo DSiWare version of 3D platform adventure Maximilian and the Rise of the Mutant Mudds. The idea was that even though there has been a lack of publisher support to get the game out to retail, there was still a potentially viable option to keep the game alive. If 1,000 comments from eager fans would be left on the blog of the company's head honcho, Jools Watsham, then he would greenlight the creation of a DSi download version.

Sadly, at the time of this story there have only been 414 comments made. Check out the early trailer of what Nintendo DSi owners could well be playing if more interest is garnered:


Would you like to see Maximilian and the Rise of the Mutant Mudds survive in DSiWare format? If so, then time is quickly running out. In the latest blog update it has been revealed that the final count will be taken on 9th January, 2011.

If you fail to place your positive comment on the blog by this date, it seems that Maximilian will disappear into the ether and a potential 3D action classic could be lost forever.

I'd definitely rather see it than not, that's for sure. Considering it was being likened to Castlevania, with RPG aspects and looks like a 3D Mario, it would be great to see how the final game turns out.

I know. Jools mentions how GoNintendo put up a banner to promote his campaign, but there is no direct link attached to the banner, meaning anyone seeing it then has to search out the news story and link to his blog or Renegade's website. THEN they have to sign up and post a message.

Sadly it's a rather convoluted process. The banner I've put up goes directly to his blog post...Hopefully it will help, even slightly Smilie
